A recent post about UK blogger's sunglasses reflected on some of the main styles worn in 2013, by looking at what fashion bloggers themselves had been wearing as they follow fashion closely and also set trends themselves. Lots of the UK styles were eccentric and were designed to make a statement, but it seems eccentricity is not necessarily the only way to stand out. This post will look at Italian blogger's sunglasses and will see what these fashion experts have been wearing recently; because what better place to look to for fashion inspiration than the heart of European fashion: Italy!
A blogger is the perfect person to advertise a style as they have become something of a hybrid: half girl/boy next door, half celebrity. They not only wear sunglasses, but also show how to wear them, as they combine them with outfits that fit perfectly with the style, creating unique and oh so stylish and cool looks. In short, looking at the sunglasses worn by bloggers is like looking at outfits chosen by Gok Wan: they know their stuff and get it right almost every time...
CHIARA FERRAGNI - The Blond Salad
This incredibly famous fashion blogger has become a definite celebrity in the blogging world, and has even been recognized internationally, with many followers from outside Italy. Her style can essentially be described as 'street', but does not mean she wears anything grungy and common... instead she looks stylish and unique in these two style. Below, her bold framed glasses give her the perfect sexy 'nerd' look, while the second style is an incredible combination of everything that has been popular lately: oversized, cat eye, and even mirrored lenses! (And of course both are teamed with outfits that look casual and stylish at the same time... how does she do it?!).
CHIARA BIASI - Chiarabiasi.it
The first model (below) are by SPEKTRE (coming soon to the Blickers online shop!). They are an interesting combination of classic, tortoise shell frames combined with green, mirrored lenses, creating an eclectic mix of styles that surprisingly seems to work perfectly as it fuses a timeless style with a newer, retro look. The second pair add a third element into the mix as they also have tortoise shell frames and mirrored lenses but are also round - creating a truly unique style that again works well, especially combined with her interesting, colourful dress.
MARIANO DI VAIO - mdvstyle.com
Blogging about fashion is by no means only for girls, as this blogger so stylishly proves. He has also opted for striking mirrored lenses (by the brand Koala), on a classic wayfarer shaped model - an iconic 2013 style, and perfect for hot weather (wow!). His second style is also classically '2013', with round, retro frames and large, grey lenses, giving him an effortlessly cool look that can be combined with just about any outfit.
So, it seems Italian blogger's sunglasses are not so different from their counterparts in the UK after all, as despite their slightly less eccentric tastes, the main sunglasses styles of 2013 are still shining through: mirrored lenses, round frames and glasses that have a retro or vintage edge. Check out the collection of vintage sunglasses in the Blickers online shop, and let these fashion experts inspire you!
